On the farm
We are starting to lift parsnips for the veg bags, and this week they make an appearance in small, medium and basic bags. A sign that the year is really beginning to turn. The shorter days see us working ever faster to harvest the vegetables before dark.
The relatively warm weather is doing great things for our over-wintering green manures which are really growing well. We are enjoying the fine weather too.
Even though the days are getting shorter this does not mean that we stop sowing seeds. We have been sowing spring greens, mustards, mizuna and rocket. We have also been busy making sure that the tunnel is planted up with new crops every time we harvest. This way we can keep your bags filled with salads to balance the winter crops from the field.
