Thanks to the recent good weather, the tattie harvest is almost finished.  Lifting the tatties also provides a good chance to clear couch grass which can gradually build up in the field and choke our crops if we don’t keep on top of it.  
Because we can’t spray it, all we can do is dig it out.

The Persian clover in our short-term fertility-building ley is in full flower just now and smells divine. 
This makes harvesting the courgettes which are growing nearby a very pleasant job!
